David Minor

Faculty Advisor

David Minor is the William M. Dickey Entrepreneur in Residence and the founding Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center at Texas Christian University. Prior to joining TCU, Minor was the President and CEO of Minor's Landscape Services, a company he founded in 1980, which became an INC 500 award winning enterprise and one of the largest and most respected of its kind in the United States. In 1998, David sold his business and teamed with ServiceMaster, Inc. to consolidate the industry nationwide. As a Vice President of this newly formed division, David helped lead the acquisitions and integration efforts of over $550 million in division revenues.

David joined TCU in 2000 as the founding Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center. By the summer of 2004, this program had been recognized by both US News and World Report and Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top 20 entrepreneurship programs in the country, and given the prestigious NASDAQ Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence Award. David was also named one of the top ten program directors in the country by Entrepreneur Magazine in 2004.

In addition to advising on all of the activities of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center, David teaches a course to TCU students titled "Managing the Emerging Venture. He continues to invest in businesses through his company Minor and Associates, Inc. and frequently speaks at conferences and seminars across the country. David is a former member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), serves as Chairman of the Board for The Landscape Partners Ltd, and is an Advisory Board Member for Diamond H Recognition, LP and BBVA Compass. He is also the past President of Boys and Girls Club of Fort Worth.

Brad Hancock

Director, Neeley Entrepreneurship Center

Brad is the Director of the Neeley Entrepreneurship Center at Texas Christian University. Brad graduated from the University of Kentucky with a B.B.A. in 1979 and earned his M.B.A from Columbia University in 1983.

Prior to joining TCU Brad was a management consultant with Paragon Consulting Group and Cleveland Consulting Associates for ten years. He was also a successful entrepreneur and harvested two ventures: a multi-unit franchise of Sylvan Learning Centers and a company he started in 2000, Paragon Senior Care. Paragon was recognized as one of the Small Business of the Year finalists in 2005.

Brad works on a variety of student programs and outreach programs. He also teaches a course called "Energy and Entrepreneurship".

Brad is active in the Rotary Club of Fort Worth, serves on the Program and Services Committee of the North Central Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association and sits on several committees and boards of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.

Sheryl Doll

Program Director

Sheryl Doll is the Program Director of the TCU Texas Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, a program she developed since its beginning in 2003.

Prior to that, in 2000, Sheryl was one of two Founding Directors of the TCU Executive MBA program for the Neeley School of Business. She created the marketing program and recruited the first two classes of TCU Executive MBA students.

Starting in 1992, Sheryl was the Assistant Director of the Charles Tandy American Enterprise Center. She developed executive education classes and successfully marketed them to mid- to upper-level executives in businesses located in Fort Worth and Dallas.

Sheryl had a twenty-five year career with IBM in technical sales, marketing, and marketing management.

She is currently a Principal of Doll Consulting Group, Inc., a results-oriented project management business.
